Examination Pattern and Assessment Structure
In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and CBSE guidelines, St. Xavier High School Khirkona follows a well-balanced system of assessments to ensure holistic development of students. The Academic Year is divided into two Terms. 1st Term will be from April to September and 2nd Term from October to March. There will be four Unit Tests, two Periodic Assessments and two Term End Exams in each subject in the entire Academic Year. The portions will be cumulatively covered. The First Term culminates with Half Yearly and the Second Term culminates with the Annual Examination.

Examination Guidelines
Attendance Requirements
Students must maintain at least 75% attendance to be eligible for examinations. Medical absences require proper documentation.
Examination Rules
Students must arrive 30 minutes before the exam, bring their own stationery, and follow all examination hall rules.
Promotion Criteria
Students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject and 40% in aggregate to be promoted to the next class.
Re-examinations
Re-examinations are conducted only in exceptional cases with proper medical documentation or other valid reasons.
